Yeshua (Jesus) gave the blessing at the Last Supper. “Now as they were eating, Yeshua took bread, and blessed, and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, ‘Take, eat; this is my body’” (Matt. 26:26, Mark 14:22, RSV).

He took the cup, gave thanks, and gave to them, saying, “Drink all of it, for this is my blood (wine) of the new covenant, which is poured out for many for the remission of sins. But I tell you that I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on, until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father’s kingdom.”(Matthew 26:27-29,HNV)
