Israel & the Church

One Body

The Apostle Paul taught that Gentile believers in Yeshua (Jesus Christ) have been “grafted in” (Rom. 11:17). We, the Congregation (Church), are supported by the root that sprung forth from the seed of Abraham. In other words, the Church did not uproot and replace the seed of Abraham. Paul also wrote, “The Scripture, foreseeing that God (YHVH) would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, ‘All the nations will be blessed in you.’ So then those who are of faith are blessed with Abraham, the believer” (Gal. 3:8-9, NASB).

Truly, we have been blessed through the seed of Abraham. We have been given eternal life by Yeshua “(Jesus) the Messiah, the son of David, the son of Abraham” (Matt. 1:1, NASB). “If you belong toYeshua (Christ), then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise” (Gal. 3:29, NASB).

Paul described how Jews and Gentiles became “one man” throughYeshua (Jesus), “But now in Messiah Yeshua (Christ Jesus) you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Yeshua (Christ). For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall” (Eph. 2:13-14, NASB). Therefore, as members of the Body of Messiah (Christ), we serve the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and we are partakers in the benefits and responsibilities of the covenant He made with them and their descendants.
