Blessings for Courage

Be strong and courageous.
Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God (Yehovah) goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. ~ Deuteronomy 31:6 (TNIV) ~

The Lord (Yehovah) is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart exults, and with my song I shall thank Him. ~ Psalm 28:7 (NASB) ~

When we allow ourselves to get caught up in our emotions, we can become timid, fearful, or weak-willed. Sometimes our obligations seem overwhelming. We feel responsible for so many things and people are depending on us. Pride can deceive us into fearing we “have to go it alone.” We may doubt ourselves.

Perhaps you are intimidated about sharing the Good News of salvation. Maybe you were raised in a home that deprived you of affirmation; you may sincerely believe you can’t do anything. You may feel worthless or lack confidence.

As we submit ourselves to God’s power and authority, our strength is bolstered. We can grow to accept the reality that we “can do all things through Yeshua (Christ) who strengthens us” (Phil. 4:13). When we build our faith through immersion in these truths…we also build courage.
