Biblical Examples of Blessings
Blessings By God the Father (Yehovah)
When YHVH (God) blesses something it is permanently blessed. David said to the Lord “For You, O Lord, have blessed, and it is blessed forever” (1 Chron. 17:27b, NASB).
Yehovah blessed the newly created sea creatures and birds. “And God blessed them, saying, ‘Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth’” (Gen. 1:22, NKJV).
Yehovah blessed newly created man. “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth” (Gen. 1:28, KJV).
Yehovah (God) blessed the seventh day of the week, later to be identified as the Sabbath (or Shabbat, in Hebrew). “God blessed the seventh day and separated it as holy; because on that day God rested from all His work which He created, so that it itself could produce” (Gen. 2:3, CJB).
